Information We Collect

Data you create in the App

When you use the App, you may enter text such as three daily “joys,” dates, and related journal content. This information is saved locally on your device using on-device storage (IndexedDB via the app’s local database).

Data we do not collect

The App is designed not to collect:

• Name, email address, or other account information (no sign-in)
• Location data
• Contacts, photos, or files from other apps (unless you use system export features yourself)
• Usage analytics or advertising identifiers
• Data sent to our servers (we do not receive your journal content)

After installation, the App does not require an internet connection to read or write your entries.

How Your Information Is Used

Information you enter is used only to provide App features, including:

• Displaying and editing your daily entries
• Showing your archive, timeline, and activity map
• Exporting your data as a JSON file when you choose Export
• Deleting your data when you choose Delete all records

We do not use your journal content for advertising, profiling, or sale to third parties.

Storage and Security

• Where data lives: On your device, inside the App’s local storage.
• Who can access it: You, and anyone with access to your device user account or backups (e.g. iCloud Backup, Time Machine, or device-to-device transfer if applicable).
• Security: We follow reasonable practices in app design; no method of electronic storage is 100% secure. You are responsible for securing your device and backups.

Removing the App may delete local data depending on iOS or macOS behavior; export your data first if you want to keep a copy.

Sharing with Third Parties

We do not share your journal content with third parties.

The App does not include third-party analytics, advertising SDKs, or social login. Apple’s App Store (on iPhone, iPad, and Mac) may process purchase, download, and crash information according to Apple’s Privacy Policy — that processing is between you and Apple, not controlled by this App’s journal storage.

Your Choices and Rights

You can:

• Export your entries as JSON from the App’s archive/data settings
• Delete all entries using Delete all records (with confirmation)
• Stop using the App and remove it from your device

Because data stays on your device, requests to access or delete data are handled by you through these in-app tools or by deleting local app data.

Children’s Privacy

The App is not directed at children under 13 (or the minimum age in your country). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided information in the App on a shared device, delete the data using in-app controls or remove the App.

International Users

The App stores data on your device where you use it. No cross-border transfer of your journal content by us occurs because we do not receive that content on our servers.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the revised policy at this same URL and update the “Effective date” above. Continued use of the App after changes means you accept the updated policy.
