Prep the Day is local-first. We do not run any servers, do not collect any personal information, and do not use analytics or tracking. By default, your brain dump text is processed by a local AI model on your own machine and never leaves your device. The only time text leaves your device is if you explicitly choose a cloud AI provider (Anthropic Claude, Google Gemini, OpenAI, or OpenRouter) and enter your own API key — in which case the text is sent directly from your device to that provider under their terms.
None. Studio Uchu does not collect any personal data or usage data from you. There is no account, no sign-in, no telemetry, and no advertising. The app does not request access to your contacts, location, microphone, camera, photos, or files outside its own sandbox.
To make the app work, Prep the Day stores the following locally on your device only, inside the app's sandbox:
This information never leaves your device through any action of ours. You can remove all of it at any time by deleting the app.
By default, the app uses a bundled local language model (Qwen3 0.6B) that runs entirely on your machine via llama.cpp with Metal GPU acceleration. In this mode, your brain dump text is processed on-device and is never transmitted over the internet.
If you choose to switch to a cloud provider — Anthropic Claude, Google Gemini, OpenAI, or OpenRouter — and enter your own API key, the app will send your brain dump text directly from your device to the provider you selected, in order to generate the task list.
In that case:
The app contains no advertising, no analytics, no tracking technologies, and no third-party software development kits (SDKs) that collect data about you.
Studio Uchu does not share any information with third parties, because we do not collect any. The only third parties that receive your data are the cloud AI providers you choose to connect to with your own API key, and only for the text you send during those sessions.
The app does not collect personal information from anyone, including children under the age of 13.
If this Privacy Policy changes, the updated version will be posted at this same URL with a revised effective date.
