These Terms govern your use of KeyPets ("the App"), a macOS menu-bar companion developed by Studio Uchu. By downloading or using the App you agree to these Terms. The App also offers an optional Studio Uchu AI auto-renewable subscription.
KeyPets displays a desktop pet that reacts to your typing. The App counts keystrokes only — it does not read or store typed characters, app names, window titles, clipboard content, or passwords. Progress (XP, pets, stats) is stored locally on your Mac.
KeyPets counts only the key presses delivered to its own windows, using a standard local event monitor. It does not use macOS Accessibility or Input Monitoring, does not capture system-wide input, and cannot read keystrokes in other apps. It never reads or stores the characters you type — it only increments a counter, and no special permission is required.
When you use Studio Uchu AI, text you send is processed by US-based providers via our server with zero data retention. We do not store conversation content. See our Privacy Policy and Studio Uchu AI page.
Do not misuse the App, bypass usage limits, or submit illegal or harmful content to AI features. AI output may be inaccurate.
The App is provided "as is" without warranty. Studio Uchu is not liable for indirect damages to the maximum extent permitted by law.
